"Drive-by" ransomware ls malware

where users can infect their computers simply by clicking on a compromised website, often lured there by a deceptive e-mail or pop-up window.[1]

It is also used in cybercrime. Criminals can use drive-by downloads to harvest personal information. It can be used to infect a network with malware, viruses, worms, or Trojan horses. Drive-by download, as the name suggests, happens without the user's knowledge.
