"The 'red button' on the remote control was initially invented by BskyB in the UK and became popular across the board as the entry point to interactive TV services such as Electronic Programme Guides, information services, t-commerce, casual games, etc. The technically limited 'Red Button iTV' differs from the full interactivity offered on two-way broadband networks (online TV or IPTV).[2]
